Music by: Giacomo Puccini
Sets by: Catherine Martin
(Luhrmann's creative partner)
Musical Director & principal conductor: Constantine Kitsopoulos
Directed by: Baz Luhrmann

Baz Luhrmann, whose Moulin Rouge won a Golden Globe
for Best Motion Picture and whose direction also picked up
a Directors Guild of America nomination for the flick, recreates
his brash Boheme staging, first seen Down Under a decade ago.
Luhrmann's production of Puccini's La Boheme premiered
at the Sydney Opera House in 1990, becoming the biggest
hit in the history of the Sydney Opera House. His collaborator-wife,
Catherine Martin, who is designing sets and co-designing
costumes for La Boheme, was Oscar-nominated Costumes
and Art Direction for "Moulin Rouge." The new Broadway
production of La Boheme will be sung in the original Italian
with English subtitles and is set in the 1950's.

The poster is more beautiful than a scanned image can show. The border, stars & Oscars are in metallic gold!

A show plagued from the onset with problem after problem.
Behind the scenes proved to be more entertaining than the
show itself as James Kirkwood points out in "Diary of
a Mad Playwright", a book based on the journals kept by Mr. Kirkwood
during the "road to Broadway tour".
The show never actually opened on Broadway!
